AS the new 4th Edition of the Code of Practice for the In-service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment has been published there are a number of changes that could have an impact on Landlords of accommdation.
In future if a landlord provides any appliances as part of a tenancy, the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations require the landlords to ensure that the appplinaces are safe when first supplied. Supplied equipment could for example include cookers, fridges, washing machines and kettles.
